My spring 2022 classes are (all 3 credits!):

Mixed Media PaintingARTS211 (available only in spring semesters – Tuesdays 2-5:40 PM via Zoom [the Zoom App is free] and community and SAGE members welcome – live stream with multiple cameras.) Lots of demos – with Covid standards by delivering the class with multiple cameras from my broadcasting studio, you will be able to see up close since we cannot gather. This course provides valuable information for artists and portfolio building with materials and techniques. Demos are live but resources outside of live class time will be provided. Completed assignments are returned privately to you with a recorded, annotated custom critique and video with narration as well as your grade. (No book and a care package of painting supports will be provided for pick up for enrolled students.) The pre-requisites are ARTS110 OR ARTS100 or permission of the instructor. Any SAGE – This course is eligible for Atlantic and Cape May County Seniors – students should get their SAGE status in place before they register. SAGE or community members should seek permission from instructor before attempting to register. Permission may be obtained by emailing me at cknowles@atlantic.edu and sending images and request for a waiver of pre-requisite courses. That email granting permission needs to be shared with a counselor on the day you register. (This is an incredibly important course whether you are a digital or fine artist as we examine surfaces and materials in depth.)

Art AppreciationARTS103 (online – book is part of Cengage Unlimited Plan; this class is full – more sections will open.)

Interpersonal CommunicationCOMM110 (online -book is part of Cengage Unlimited Plan)

Visual Communication ARTS/TVRF124 (online – available ONLY in spring semesters. No book.) Art majors and students seeking a Liberal Arts elective should take ARTS124; Media Studies majors should take TVRF124. It is a cross-listed class. It will fulfill a Liberal Arts elective if taken as ARTS124.

Introduction to Visual Arts ARTS115 (hybrid – half in the classroom and half online – book is part of Cengage Unlimited Plan. A kit of most supplies is for sale through the bookstore.) 2 sections: Mondays 3-4:20 live and the rest is online; Thursdays 11-12:20 live and the rest is online. (These are two separate sections.)

Planning the Pre-K Curriculum – CDCC/EDUC115 co-teaching with Professor Lisa Stein Wednesdays from 5-6:50. This class is cross-listed CDCC115 or EDUC115 and should be taken under the proper alpha depending on your education or early childcare major. (I will be teaching the visual arts component of the course and joining Professor Stein for the kick-off of the class and also for the Art Fair.)
